The WOLF TruBlue is a 445 nm blue laser platform developed by A.R.C. Laser GmbH (Nürnberg, Germany) for ENT and head and neck surgery. Shreyaas Health Care Products Pvt Ltd is the authorized distributor bringing this technology to hospitals and ENT centres across India.
TruBlue was the first blue laser introduced into ENT practice, and it remains the most studied. It gives surgeons precise cutting and effective coagulation from a single wavelength, delivered through a flexible fiber that works in both the operating theatre and the outpatient clinic.

Why 445 nm Matters:
ENT laser surgery has long involved a trade-off. CO₂ lasers cut precisely but offer limited haemostasis, while KTP lasers coagulate well but have restricted cutting ability and are no longer being manufactured.
The 445 nm wavelength sits at a point of high oxyhaemoglobin absorption, higher than both KTP (532 nm) and argon (514 nm), while passing largely through water. This allows TruBlue to cut and coagulate in one pass, targeting blood vessels beneath the surface without damaging the tissue above them.
